Just trying out Pinax here. I like the way it works so far. I keep thinking of rebuilding our Dalian site in Django, and it looks like we could do it with Pinax.
That would be freakin' awesome.

I think it's still in the "someday" category, but DalianDalian won't be the last community news site I build.
A lot of what we did there is already built in here: blogs, forum, tribes, messaging. And clearly, someone here knows more CSS than we did.
The big thing we'd have to rebuild is our listings map. If there's a Django module out there that plots objects on a Google map automatically and allows for easy customization, I haven't found it.
But there's a lot here, and I could see launching a site very quickly with a lot of features right out of the box. I'll play with it a bit and see what I can put together.
